For dewatering with belt presses serveral units are available.
Belt presses can be used for as well high biological sludge as for high anorganic sludges.
For dewatering directly from the aereation zone of a waste water treatment, with a very low dry solid content, high throughputs can be reached. To avoid phosphate realease from the sludge, this type of dewatering can be very usefull.
Also for high anorganic sludges as from soil remediation, incineration ash recycling or dregdging sludge a belt press can be used and high cake dry solids can be reached.
